A welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to Halcyon Comprehensive. We are a Sussex secondary school with a proud tradition of doing our best with what we have. In recent years, that has included a supply teacher from another world.

Mr. Gorzug joined us at 7:43 one morning, by way of the staff car park, and has been with us ever since. He cannot be persuaded to leave his axe at Reception. He can, however, tell when a child is lying, frightened, hungry, or about to do something regrettable with a chair, and our corridors have never been calmer.

The story of the last few years has been written up, with only minor exaggeration, by the author Nole Moody. Copies are available through the School Library. Parents should be aware that the books contain paperwork.
